Dear Friend,
Let me ask you a question...
Have you ever experienced Depression?
Well I can tell you... I have. Some years ago, now, while driving down the road, on what seemed to be just another day. I glanced up at the beautiful clear blue sky; all of a sudden it hit me... I felt horrible, miserable, sad!
I looked again and thought, this is a beautiful day, that should make me feel good... but I didn't.
Obviously something was wrong, really wrong.
This feeling I had was not 'normal' and I then realized that this was how I was feeling most, if not all of the time.
At the time I decided to go to the Dr. who prescribed me some medication.
This might not seem like a big deal, but for me this was completely out of character, as I have strong feelings about taking medication.
I decided that I would take them for a short time; a few weeks, and at the time they did help.
This was the first time in my life that I realized that I was depressed, and I guess for most people you might even say it was understandable. I was 30 years old and a single mother of five children aged 2 to 12 years.
Definitely not one of the easiest periods of my life.
